Speaking to reporters at a media conference at his gym in Las Vegas, Mayweather said: “Expect excitement. He’s gonna talk trash, I’m gonna talk trash, there’s gonna be a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

The only reason I maybe give him two rounds is because in this game the referee stops me from pounding his head into the canvas. And he has 10 seconds to recover. That’s the only reason he might get to the second round.”

McGregor explained even further as to why he’s going to have an upper hand over Mayweather when the two combat stars meet in two weeks.

No wonder Mayweather long-time business partner, Leonard Ellerbe, has been beaming like the proverbial “Cheshire Cat.” Business is looking very good parson. This is a fight the promoters say that the fans demanded and it is evidently sellings.

About 15,000 fans turned out at London Las vegers Wembley Arena on Friday, largely to see McGregor & salute him on his 30th birthday.

To the surprise of nobody, money was the theme of the Mayweather vs. McGregor world tour. Who has it. Who doesn’t. On and on.

The Mayweather vs McGregor Live Tour from London (Video Replay)

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor world media tour stormed into New York on Thursday with the fighters unleashing more profanity-laced attacks on each other as they looked to build up interest in their light middleweight boxing bout.

Mayweather vs McGregor Live

On the third stop of four-day, four-city barnstorming blitz to promote their Aug. 26 Las Vegas clash, the witty barbs that characterized their exchanges Los Angeles and Toronto were replaced by what appeared to be real venom.

As the protracted pantomime took place on stage in front of over 10,000 baying fans at Wembley, McGregor and Mayweather traded profanities. “Four years ago I fought in London at The Forum in front of about 500 people. Now here I am about to quadruple my net worth with one half a fight. Sign me up. No one is going to kick, knee or elbow. And it’s against this little b****,” the UFC fighter said.

McGregor went on a long rant, pulling the crowd to his side, taunting the American. “I’m going to knock you out on August 26. You have made a big mistake, for the money. I’m going to destroy your legacy.”

While fans made it a carnival atmosphere at Wembley Arena, the pair lowered the tone on stage barely 24 hours after Mayweather accused the Irishman of racism on day three in New York.

Addressing the crowd in Brooklyn on Thursday, McGregor had said: “All of the media seem to be saying I’m against black people… Do they not know I’m half black? I’m half black from the belly button down.

The hugely partisan crowd was in favour of the Irishman with many of McGregor’s countrymen making the journey to the British capital.

Mayweather was constantly told to ‘sit down, shut up’ among other taunts as McGregor had the better of the exchanges ahead of the fight next month.

There was also controversy as the American aimed a homophobic slur at his rival amid the race row which has marred the press conferences over the course of the last few days.

Mayweather and just about every member of his entourage, before once again telling Mayweather that he will win their August 26 super-fight within four rounds.

Mayweather then stood up to give his speech, but was drowned out by the sound of the London crowd, who were very much in McGregor’s corner.

Both men took part in a brief Q&A session before the press conference ended, although a hoarse Mayweather struggled to answer any questions.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor “World Tour” is coming to an end. After a dismal Brooklyn presser, the two superstars have made their way to London, England for the finale of this four-city, three-country stretch of press conferences. Let’s hope London isn’t another Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but instead similar (or better than) Toronto.

UFC champion McGregor traded in the stylish suits he wore on the previous two legs of the tour for psychedelic pants and a furry white coat worn over a bare, tattooed chest.

Admitting he is well past his best, 40-year-old Mayweather added: “I’m a lot older and not same FM as 20 years ago, not even FM of two years ago.

“Young guys in gym are pushing me and helping me prepare for this. But it only counts under the lights. Look at the matchup and everything leans towards Conor McGregor. He’s taller, got a longer reach, he’s in his 20s and he’s active and I’m inactive. He’s a stand-up fighter.”

Confirming that it would be his last fight, Mayweather added: “I gave my word to Al Haymon [his manager] that this would be my last fight. I promised him.”

Floyd Mayweather, who he takes on in a controversial boxing match in August, the fighter chose to clarify things and address his critics head on Thursday evening by claiming he can’t be racist because he’s “half black from the bellybutton down.” As if that wasn’t enough he continued by offering a gift to his “beautiful black female fans” and then grinding his crotch against the air whilst sporting a gaunt smirk over wildly masticating teeth.

The bravado, insults and cocky swaggering are at times as much a part of boxing as the actual fighting. But here McGregor has stepped over a line he doesn’t seem to be able to see. Speaking to press after his comments at the Barclays Centre, the UFC champion defended himself once again, saying “I am a very multicultural individual. I do not have any ill feelings towards anyone. I do not even see colour.

It was, explained the 49-0 boxer, the greatest promotion he has ever been involved with. “Three countries, four cities, four days. Its gruelling. Hotel, pack bags, onto the next. Try to eat and squeeze schedule. But it is the best ever.”

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor press tour is officially underway after starting Tuesday in Los Angeles. It heads to Toronto, Canada on Wednesday and was scheduled to start at 6 p.m. ET. The beginning of the press conference was delayed, with Showtime saying fans were still streaming inside to watch it.

Coverage of the event will be streamed live on YouTube via Showtime, as well as by the UFC. Television coverage will be provided by Fox Sports 2 and the event will also be streamed on the Fox Sports GO App.

More importantly, though, are questions about the formats of the remaining press conferences. In the world of mixed martial arts, McGregor turned them into spectacles with quick retorts to claims and comments made by other fighters. In Los Angeles, he didn’t have that opportunity.

Unfortunately this was a boxing press conference, so unlike UFC events where president Dana White immediately asks for questions, we were forced to wait for the suits to make long-winded statements. Fittingly, they were booed.

Manny Pacquiao, who returns Saturday to face Jeff Horn in Australia, set the combat sports PPV buy record at an astounding 4.6 million in 2015 against Mayweather. But even “PacMan” said he isn’t willing to waste his time watching such a sideshow event, in which almost no one is willing to give McGregor, 28, a chance at even being competitive against the 40-year-old Mayweather.

“The real fight and the best fight is Golovkin versus Canelo,” Pacquiao told Yahoo Sports. “The best versus the best. That’s the fight I will be watching.

“If you want to watch a true fight, a true boxing fight, like a classic fight, welcome to Sept. 16,” Golovkin said. “If you want to watch a show — like, I don’t know, a business show, a comedy show — Floyd is Floyd. Conor, he is a very good fighter, but he’s not a boxer.”

The only fighter who seems to have given McGregor a chance is former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, an English boxer of Irish descent, who is known for his flamboyant takes.

“I think Conor McGregor will knock him out in the first 35 seconds like he did to Jose Aldo, to be honest,” Fury told iFL TV. “I think McGregor will do him inside one round. It will be good for boxing, won’t it? It will be great for boxing. It will be great for the real people of the world.”

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will hold a series of press conferences across the United States and in Britain to promote their historic fight.

Mayweather made about $220 million from his fight with Manny Pacquiao on May 2, 2015. Mayweather shared on social media a photo of a $100 million check — his guaranteed purse from the fight — which did not have taxes deducted from it. Sources confirmed at the time that the check was genuine.

Mayweather is expected to make a similar amount for the McGregor fight.

The petition also asks to reduce the penalty Mayweather received from not paying all of his taxes for the year.

https://www.thebitbag.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Conor.jpg

The failure-to-pay penalty is typically 0.5 percent of the owed taxes for each month, according to the IRS website. Mayweather’s 2015 taxes are currently 15 months past due, which would equal a 7.5 percent charge on top of what is owed.

Mayweather, 40, has earned approximately $700 million in his 49-fight professional career, according to a Forbes magazine estimate.

The publicity tour starts in Los Angeles tomorrow, before moving to Toronto and New York, finally concluding at Wembley Stadium in London on Friday.

All press conferences are open to the public free of charge, but the limited number of tickets will likely be scooped up within seconds.

Mayweather, 40, is coming out of retirement for the second time to face UFC champion McGregor in Las Vegas on August 26.

The fight is expected to generate a staggering £500million, making it the most expensive contest in boxing history.

Floyd Mayweather says he can’t pay off his 2015 tax liability until after he gets money from his Aug. 26 fight against Conor McGregor.

The boxer filed a Tax Court petition on July 5 that asks the IRS to allow him a reprieve until the fight.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao did 4.4 million buys and satisfied few of the customers with the quality of their fight. With the same pricing structure in place for Mayweather vs. McGregor, will the buyrate exceed the seemingly unexceedable (this isn’t a word, but it should be) record-shattering numbers from two years ago? We’ll soon find out.

Mind you, these numbers could go higher after the promotional world tour is finished. Mayweather and McGregor will embark on a four-city tour that begins on Tuesday in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. The tour will also go to Toronto, New York, and London. Anyone who is familiar with McGregor’s gift of gab and elite-level trash talking knows he has the ability to raise interest in anything he does.

This fight, while already popular, will be no different.

The 40-year-old American rarely allows filming of his sparring sessions, so only snippets of footage have emerged from his ‘Doghouse’ gym in Las Vegas. But ‘Money’ rarely strays from his fighting weight and he has been sharing the ring with the likes of American prospect Devin Haney ahead of fight night.

The press conferences will be streamed live on Showtime Sports YouTube Channel, Showtime Boxing Facebook Page, CBSSports.com, UFC.com And UFC Fight Pass. With the fight only six weeks away, expect the hype train to be shifted into high gear.

McGregor, the current UFC lightweight champion, will be making his professional boxing debut against all-time great Mayweather, who himself is coming out of retirement for the fight.

Though the contest itself is all but guaranteed to be a mismatch, the pre-fight build-up looks as though it will be entertaining given both fighters’ proclivity for mental warfare.

There have been what feels like years of speculation about the fight, with much name-calling on both sides. But the two fighters have announced that it is indeed, on.

Yes, that’s right, a boxer with a 49-0 record facing a man who has never taken part in a professional boxing fight.

The price has not been decided, though it is expected to be at or near the $99.95 charged for Mayweather’s 2015 fight with Manny Pacquiao that drew a record 4.4 million pay-per-view buys.

You’re an MMA Punchole. For the past year, while other so-called experts debunked, dismissed, and derailed a proposed super fight between boxing champion Floyd Mayweather and UFC champion Conor McGregor, you have intelligently articulated the numerous reasons, live and in public, if you will, why the fight makes sense for all the parties involved.

LA’s Staples Center has described the first press conference as “a star-studded event that will feature a live performance and special guests”.

Brett Yormark, the CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, has spent recent years building a strong boxing presence at Barclays Center and sees nothing but benefits to hosting the Mayweather-McGregor presser.

“I think it’s terrific for the sport of boxing,” Yormark said. “I’m a purist, but I’m also a marketing guy. My son is 12 years old and all his friends are talking about the fight and they’re UFC fans. This is bringing a much younger audience into boxing that hasn’t supported boxing over the last couple of years.”

McGregor, the current UFC lightweight champion, will have his first professional boxing match against the 49-0 Mayweather, who has ended his retirement to headline at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

This is a big month because we’re showcasing both sports for the first time there,” Yormark said. “It makes sense for us to continue what we’ve done at Barclays Center and continue out there at NYCB Live. We’ll have two or three big boxing events out there a year and one or UFC events.”

Bradley, however, says ‘The Notorious’s’ confidence is ‘through the roof’ and expects the SBG Ireland product to give ‘Money’ a tough fight.

“He didn’t say anything specifically about the fight, but you get an unreal sense of confidence from that guy. This was the first time I met him. The way he walks, the way he talks, you can’t help but notice his self belief. It just oozes out of him.”

“Looking at Conor yesterday,” Bradley said, “I know he’ll give Floyd a hard fight. This will not be a walkover. I really think whoever puts more into their camp will win it. I know that Conor is putting in the work and that his confidence is through the roof. He’s going to be ready when fight night comes around.”

Mayweather vs McGregor live streaming , which is on track to being the biggest fight in combat sports history, takes place next month, August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“He’s so fast and unpredictable — that’s a very dangerous combination. I don’t think Mayweather has ever boxed anyone like that.”

He added: “It’s very different to any style I’ve seen over the years. He has this strange style and he can keep going at a serious pace for 12 rounds. He’s on his toes and he’s constantly keeping you guessing.

“My biggest takeaway from the rounds was the pace that we fought at and that he seemed unbreakable. I found it very hard to figure him out.”

Bradley, who has been brought in specifically to help emulate Mayweather’s style, said ‘The Notorious’ gave him a ‘black eye’ and lifted him off his feet with a crushing right uppercut.

“I’ve got a black eye at the moment and I got that from him when he was wearing 16-ounce gloves,”he said.

“I don’t know if you’ve seen the photo that he uploaded onto his Instagram after our session. People are talking about his left hand and whether the power will be there with 10-ounce gloves — he lifted me off my feet with a right uppercut in 16 (ounce gloves)!

“That shot came out of nowhere. It was so fast and powerful. I can tell you now that those kinds of shots would drop boxers, and that was his right hand. He will definitely keep his stopping power with 10-ounce gloves on.” Mayweather vs McGregor fight live streaming
